Sometimes I am assertive toward other birds and I may chase them from your feeder, although I get blamed more often for doing so than those pesky squirrels. I am beneficial to other birds, I will scream if I see a predator like a hawk or when other dangers are near, and smaller birds often recognize my alarm call and hide. I can also be aggressive towards humans who come to close to my nest. I’m one of those guys you either love or love to hate.
